NECU members enjoy convenient access to free credit counseling services over the phone or in our Portsmouth branch located at 100 Borthwick Avenue. Money Management International (MMI), a national credit counseling agency provides free, confidential financial information and advice on topics such as credit reporting and scoring; budgeting; saving and spending; debt counseling, consolidation and management plans; and overall money management.

In addition, NECU members have access to GreenPath Debt Solutions, a nationwide, non-profit financial organization that assists consumers with credit card debt, housing debt and bankruptcy concerns. The credit counseling and mortgage counseling sessions are free and are offered in person, over the phone, or online.
