Deposit Protection. Members' funds are insured to $100,000 per member by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund in accordance with the terms and conditions of the National Credit Union Administation's Rules and Regulations.

Take advantage of one of the highest levels of deposit insurance protection available in the financial industry. Northeast Credit Union has complemented member federal share insurance with excess deposit insurance. An additional $250,000 in savings protection is available on all qualifying accounts through ESI, a private insurer.

* Members under the age of 23 are eligible for the MyFunds Share Account. At the end of the month of the member's 23rd birthday, the account will automatically convert to a variable rate Regular Share Account at the regular share rate at the time of conversion. The MyFunds Share Account is a variable rate account of 4.00% [4.09% Annual Percentage Yield (APY) effective as of February 1, 2008] for balances $0 to $500. A variable rate of .50% with an APY of .50% (effective as of February 1, 2008) applies to all MyFunds balances $500.01 and over. These variable rates may change after the account is opened. Our dividends are calculated day of deposit to day of withdrawal; compounded and paid on the last day of the month. One MyFunds Share Account per qualifying member.
