Deposit Protection. Members' funds are insured to $250,000 per member by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund in accordance with the terms and conditions of the National Credit Union Administation's Rules and Regulations.

Northeast Credit Union has complemented the federal share insurance with an additional $250,000. This savings protection is available at no charge on all qualifying accounts through ESI, a private insurer. That could bring your protection up to $500,000. * Members under the age of 13 are eligible for the MyFunds Share Account. At the end of the month of the member's 13th birthday, the account will automatically convert to a variable rate Student Savings Account at the Student Savings rate at the time of conversion. The MyFunds Share Account is a variable rate account of 1.50% [1.52% Annual Percentage Yield (APY) effective as of January 1, 2011] for balances $0 to $500. A variable rate of .15% with an APY of .15% (effective as of October 1, 2010) applies to all MyFunds balances $500.01 and over. These variable rates may change after the account is opened. Our dividends are calculated day of deposit to day of withdrawal; compounded and paid on the last day of the month. One MyFunds Share Account per qualifying member.
